Tortilla Wraps

Tortilla wraps - for the fun dinner with the family and good friends! Why only with friends and family? Because it is not eaten with a knife and fork and the salsa sauce sometimes runs down your sleeves :-) This is real \"finger food\" and one of the all time favorites when our son has his friends come for an overnight stay at our place!

Easy to prepare and super tasty!

  Ingredients

Ingredients: 6

1.5 kg ground meat, mixed or pure ground beef
2 large onions
Tortilla seasoning (I use this simple \'Chili Con Carne seasoning - I find 2 packs to be sufficient)
1 head iceberg lettuce
6-10 tomatoes, medium size
1-2 packages grated cheese (200g each)
400g (2 cups) sour cream
2 jars salsa sauce (medium or hot according to taste)
2 cans chili beans (if you like you can replace or \"extend\" the meat in your meal with this)
3 packs of tortillas / wraps Ø 20cm (just keep left overs in a sealed plastic bag and they will last for quite a while without refrigeration!)

Preparation:
Chop onions into fine cubes and fry with the meat until brown and cooked through. Stir in seasoning mix and add 1 / 4 litre of water. Simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile cut the lettuce into strips and slice the ??tomatoes. Use a seperate bowl for each ingredient (tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, salsa and grated cheese), so that each guest may fill their tortilla as desired.
Finally, the chili beans and tortillas are heated (I use the microwave, low setting for the wraps). Beans and meat should each be placed in a covered dish to keep these ingredients warm.

And this is how you eat it:
Spread some sour cream on your tortilla, cover with a little lettuce, tomatoes, ground meat and / or chili beans. But not like a pizza, but in the form of a vertical strip right down the center of the wrap! Add some grated cheese and salsa. Now comes the wrapping - or folding: First you fold up approx. a third of the bottom, then turn in the two sides so that you get a type of pouch.

Bon appetit!
