Am Wasser Nordsee Sonnenuntergang

Now it is about time!

Maybe (and hopefully) some of our visitors will already have noticed that not only the look of the site has changed! Right now it is pretty bleak out here in Butjadingen - rain, rain and more rain. Nevertheless, or perhaps because of this, Michael has chosen a theme and colors to befit a late summer month. We hope you enjoy it!

The page itself was moved to a newer version that will allow our visitors to be more interactive. Before, you could click on the title of a recipe, open this page and place a rating . Some visitors took advantage of this feature and it is nice to get feedback that way. On the redesigned website, the visitor now has even more ways to evaluate individual articles or to post comments. It is easy and fast with a click on the title of the article. A new page opens up and the visitor finds a box with publish your comments ..... Here you can voice your opinion or make suggestions.! But please, stick to the point and the normal (polite) tone, ie no foul language or derogatory remarks which do not relate to the topic. However, we will always keep an open mind and ear for constructive suggestions, requests or ideas for improvement, and will glady publish those comments here on our website! If you like our page or a selected individual contribution - please share by clicking on the links from Facebook, Twitter, Share This or 1 above the article or the feedback on the right side of the page.

We hope that many a visitor will take this opportunity to interactively participate in the further development and use of this site and look forward to your opinions and comments!

Another significant change is the new Translator in the upper right corner. So far, the website was bilingual and deited in English and German, because here at our family home everything is bilingual! I personally have already made many new contacts from around the world (and rediscovered old friends, including some from Sweden!) solely through the medium of Facebook. Therefore we felt that the programming and incorporation a language module could only be beneficial. Of course, these translations are not one hundred percent correct and there will be a lot of grinning and outright laughter (happened to me too) from our readers! In the English version, Michael had to go through the trouble of extra programming again, because I was not happy at all with the system-generated translation of my texts and at least here I would make no concessions. The English version therefore is more handmade and personal and to keep is wife happy, Michael will just have to put in the extra time in the future to manually set up the English-language texts.

I hope our visitors keep enjoying the site as well, and would love to publish YOUR favorite recipes or coast related contributions.

Wishing you all a few more warm and sunny September days!

Stephanie Lake
