Butjadingen in February

Still winter has us firmly under control! Who must not out, which remains rather sure in the warm room. The highway maintenance depot has fully all hands to do to keep the main streets more or less free. What me again and again is a mystery: why throw you tons of salt on centimetre high snow-covered roads, without previously to plow? Instead of free roads we have slush, who then freezes and stops even for weeks. And all wonder that is the salt to end! Perhaps but also of citizens is itself called for, which reverses cheerfully only outside the own door - holding is strictly on the site boundary and into the gutter! Is it really so bad, if you mark the way to the Inbox for the postman or something extra shovels, hence the neighbor of dry foot comes to the cabin of the bus? Just under such adverse weather conditions it is then often displays, how far it is with the charity of her! This one feels itself soooo good, if one went his neighbour at hand!
In this sense - A big "Thank you beautiful" at the "Savior of the snow-covered roads and driveways" in Eckwarder old Dyke, Henning Bush! He is has always been early with his before the trekkers tense Snowplow on the road to remove just the older generation, but also us, the snow aside. And, when it has snowed properly sound - free of charge, just a friendly wave in the passing!
So people - help you one another! You will see - common snow clean, properly can be fun!
And in contrast to many other areas, snow and ice in boundaries follow with us. The last 4 photos of our Diasshow come from Michigan, United States, not from Butjadingen! And we thought it would have caught us bad.
-We also winter times now, because we must be by! For this, we enjoy very determined;-) soon warmer, longer days-
Who knows as a good Samaritan, which can send indeed times a short report with the name me. Sure, there are still more helpful friends and neighbors who you would like to praise right once!

Greetings from the snow-covered Butjadingen...
